Day Two!

What a great start to the week.  All of you have such great attitudes and I am happy to report that all of you have been on your best behaviour this week and for that I am thankful. 

This morning began with Mr. Cragg watching you all as I went to Lucy's school to see her off to Kindergarten this morning for the first time!  It was definitely a milestone that came a little too soon for me.  I can't believe that she's old enough to go to school!  To be honest I did cry...just a little bit but kept it together so that she didn't know. (see picture below).

You worked on your 2nd drafts of your poems and most of you handed in something to be edited tonight by me.  I am looking forward to marking them this evening so we can work on the art portion of the assignment. After recess we did some math multiplication with 2 numbers, just for practice and to warm up on your math skills.  We will do some more math tomorrow, including long division.  Just before lunch we analyzed the song "The Fighter" and what those words mean to us...and we decided that it was a positive message and would provide the soundtrack to our film. 

After lunch we watched a short film and had a discussion about - Who the audience was, Who the film was made for, The things we liked about it, The messages we liked.  If you'd like to watch the film again I've attached it below! We will watch it tomorrow again and I am looking forward to your inspirational quotes.  For tomorrow you need to think about your inspirational quotes and the topic/big idea that you'd like to cover with your ideas. 

Gym began with Ms. Nicholson and you had French...not sure if there's any homework but I'll set that up for tomorrow.

We ended the day with a little teamwork game...and I was impressed with how you all worked together towards a common goal.  Great work.
